Fighters tearing strips off each other on the South Lawn of the White House might sound like some sort of Hollywood fever dream, but it will be a reality this weekend at UFC Freedom 250.
An octagon has been constructed at the home of the US president, which will host a professional sporting event for the first time as part of the celebrations for the 250th anniversary of American independence.
Topping the card will be the UFC lightweight championship title unification fight between Ilia Topuria and Justin Gaethje.
That’s not all, there is also the interim heavyweight championship bout between Alex Pereira and Ciryl Gane.
There have been some remarkable boxing and combat sport events held in recent years, but this feels like a real can’t-miss event at a venue that will likely never be repeated. For UK fans, it’s worth staying up for.

The event takes place on Sunday 14 June 2026 – or in the early hours of Monday 15 June for UK fans.
