Jake Quickenden is reportedly in talks to appear on Strictly Come Dancing later this year.
Quickenden first rose to fame in 2012 after appearing on The X Factor before being eliminated at the Judges’ Houses. He later appeared on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! and Dancing on Ice.
It has been suggested that his chances have been “boosted” since he joined the cast of CBBC series Jamie Johnson FC.
A source said: “Jake has caught the eye of the Strictly bookers. He’s fun, hunky and known as an all-round nice guy. He’s an actor and singer, so is a natural performer. And he won Dancing On Ice, so has clearly got the moves. And now he’s in the BBC stables, he’s part of the gang.”
Quickenden has previously expressed his interest in doing Strictly in the past, admitting: “I don’t think there’s been many people that have gone from Dancing on Ice to Strictly, but if it ever came around, I’d love to do it.”

The BBC have so far announced two names as part of this year’s dazzling line-up, including Dani Dyer, who was forced to withdraw from last year’s competition due to an injury.
It had previously been rumoured that Dani would be making a return to the Strictly ballroom, with the TV personality previously saying she’d “love to do it again”.
Dani said in a statement of her joining the 2026 cast: “I am so excited to be back in the ballroom this September! I just cannot wait to get my dancing shoes back on and hopefully this time around I can actually make it to week one! I’m just over the moon and cannot wait to find out who else is doing it!”

She joins the previously announced Lacey Turner, who was confirmed to be taking part this week.
Turner said in a statement: “I am so excited to being making my way to the dance floor this year to be a part of Strictly Come Dancing!
“I am a huge fan and can’t quite believe I will be taking part and not watching at home this year! I look forward to meeting everyone and learning a new skill!”
More announcements will be made throughout the summer ahead of the new season this September.
Strictly Come Dancing is available to watch on catch-up on BBC iPlayer.
