Jason Momoa’s Chief of War, the war drama from Apple TV+, was released in August last year. It consisted of nine episodes that ran through September 2025.
Speaking to Collider in an interview, while discussing his other TV show, On the Roam Season 2, Momoa dropped a disappointing update on Chief of War Season 2. “We’re just waiting for it to do its run and hopefully get some more words. But basically, right now, it’s kind of at a bit of a standstill.”

As for his latest project, On the Roam Season 2 sees Momoa exploring new places while embracing creativity. In another interview, the actor admitted that this show made him want to take a break from acting and just focus on a creative level.“I’d like to maybe stop f*****g acting a little bit and actually go to school and learn how to play music a little bit more so I could be better, but f**k it, I’m still a work in progress, you know what I mean?”, he said.
On the Roam, Season 2 is currently streaming on HBO Max. Moreover, the actor’s schedule for 2026 is packed moving forward. Next up, he will be seen playing Lobo in DC Studios’ Supergirl film. It’s set to hit theaters on June 26, 2026. Later, the Aquaman star will appear in the Street Fighter movie, followed by the awaited Dune: Part Three.
