Only Murders in the Building is officially filming in London – and they have a team of famous faces from the UK ready to welcome them.
Season 5 ended on a cliffhanger and a new murder mystery to solve for Charles (Steve Martin), Oliver (Martin Short) and Mabel (Selena Gomez), when rival podcaster Cinda Canning (Tina Fey) died in front of their Arconia apartment complex in New York.
It’s since been confirmed that season 6 will see the trio coming across the pond to Dear Ol’ Blighty as they follow clues over who could be responsible.
Now the team have confirmed the faces joining them on this new adventure includes British icon Jennifer Saunders, Bridgerton’s Simone Ashley, and Bad Sisters’ Sharon Horgan.
Sean Teale (The Gold), Amar Chadha-Patel (The Decameron), Rhea Norwood (Heartstopper) and Matthew Beard (Funny Woman) will also be joining the cast.
But will they be friends or foes for our podcast hosts-turned-amateur sleuths? Currently, no new information about who the actors will be playing is known – though given the show’s history, they’ll probably all be up to something shady.
Filming in London began in May, with Martin, Short and Gomez all being seen in the centre of the city.
Photos posted onto the show’s official Instagram show the cast posing on the South Bank by the London Eye, and also at a party – where Saunders, best known for her role in British comedy classic Absolutely Fabulous, is seen in a bright pink wig.

Other tidbits see the trio filming inside a pod on the London Eye, with Steve Martin grabbing a selfie with one of the lion statues in Trafalgar Square.
A release date for the new season is not yet known, but the series has been released once a year throughout its entire run.
As a result, it’s expected the show will debut before the end of 2026 – but check in for more information as we get it!
