Vijay Deverakonda’s upcoming film with director Shouryuv has officially gone on floors with a grand pooja ceremony. Tentatively titled VDxShouryuv, the project marks the first collaboration between the actor and the filmmaker, whose previous release Hi Nanna received positive response from audiences.

The makers recently shared glimpses from the launch ceremony, where actor Nani was seen in attendance. Nani, who previously worked with Shouryuv in Hi Nanna, joined the team for the auspicious occasion and participated in the rituals. His presence at the event added to the excitement around the film, while pictures and videos from the ceremony quickly gained traction online.

Sharing the event video on social media, the makers wrote, “Moments for the day With #VDxSHOURYUV Pooja Ceremony… That’s a roar… coming straight from @NameisNani for @TheDeverakonda @shouryuv @heshamabdulwahab @alexmtz @suresh.selvarajan #EricDurst @praveenantony @sachinfido @vyraents”.

The project has already generated interest due to the combination of Vijay Deverakonda and Shouryuv, along with its technical team featuring several international names. Cinematography for the film will be handled by Alejandro Martínez, whose credits include House of the Dragon. The makers have also roped in a VFX team associated with titles such as Snowpiercer, Gods of Egypt, and Batman Forever. Music for the film will be composed by Hesham Abdul Wahab, known for his work in Hi Nanna, Hridayam, and Kushi.

Prior to the pooja ceremony, the announcement poster had created buzz among fans, while the lyric video titled “That’s a Roar” further built anticipation. While plot details and the full cast are yet to be officially revealed, the scale of the project suggests an ambitious production.

For Vijay Deverakonda, the film adds another major title to his upcoming slate. The actor has previously featured in films such as Arjun Reddy, Geetha Govindam, Dear Comrade, The Family Star, and Kingdom. He is also expected to headline another large-scale project titled Ranabaali.

For director Shouryuv, VDxShouryuv marks a new creative phase following his debut feature Hi Nanna. With production now underway, more details about the film are expected to be announced in the coming months.
