One of Netflix‘s newest TV shows starring Kevin Hart has finally debuted today, more than four months after releasing Hart’s latest stand-up special, Acting My Age. The first four episodes of Funny AF with Kevin Hart are now available to stream on Netflix.
What do we know about Kevin Hart’s new Netflix show?
Funny AF with Kevin Hart is a comedy competition series hosted by Hart as he searches for the next comedy star from a line-up of rising stand-up comedians coming from New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. The contestants are also judged by comedic actors Keegan-Michael Key, Tom Segura, Kumail Nanjiani, Chelsea Handler, and Nikki Glaser. Episodes 5-6 will be dropping on April 27. Meanwhile, the semi-final (Episode 7) and finale (Episode 8) will premiere live on Netflix at 6 PM PT/9 PM ET on May 4 and May 5, respectively.

The mission is simple: find the next great voice in comedy with the guts, perspective, and punchlines to become the next household name. The competition builds to live final rounds where a global vote will determine the ultimate winner.”
Funny AF hails from showrunners Bill Dixon, Liz Cook, San Heng, and Jason Raff. This marks the latest collaboration between Hart and Netflix. Executive producers are Hart, Jane Lipsitz, Dan Cutforth, Nan Strait, Dan Volpe, Luke Kelly-Clyne, Meghan Hoffman, Jeff Clanagan, and Jenny Groom. It is a production by Hartbeat and Alfred Street Industries.
