Disney has announced that it is bringing its upcoming Oasis movie, about the legendary Britishband, to theaters later this year. The documentary was produced and developed by Steven Knight, best known for his work on Peaky Blinders.

The untitled Oasisdocumentary is directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, the directing duo behind Meet Me in the Bathroom, a documentary about New York’s rock scene in the 2000s, and Shut Up and Play the Hits, a documentary about LCD Soundsystem.
When is the release date for the Oasis movie?
Oasis will open in select IMAX and cinemas worldwide for a limited theatrical engagement on September 11, 2026. Following that, the film will be available to stream on Disney+ internationally and on Hulu and Disney+ in the U.S. later this year.
The Oasis documentary will follow Liam and Noel Gallagher’s reunion tour,Oasis Live ’25. The tour begins on July 4 in Cardiff and will stop in Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin on the European leg. The film will include the first joint interviews with Noel and Liam in over 25 years, following their breakup in 2009.

The untitled Oasis documentary is a Magna Studios production, presented by Sony Music Vision in association with Sony Music Entertainment UK.The film is produced by Sam Bridger and Guy Heeley. Executive producers include Kate Shepherd, Marisa Clifford, Tom Mackay, Krista Wegener,IsabelDavis, and Tim O’Shea. The film’s technical team includes Oscar-winning sound mixers James Mather (Top Gun: Maverick) and Tarn Willers (The Zone of Interest), along with cinematographer Haris Zambarloukos (Beetlejuice).
