NBC’sOne Chicagofranchise just locked in its biggest stars for another round ofWednesday night dominance. The network confirmedreturning leadsacrossChicago Med,Chicago Fire, andChicago P.D.ahead of thefall season.

All leads confirmed to return for Chicago Fire, PD and Med
NBC’s One Chicago franchise will bring back all its lead actors for the upcoming fall season, Deadline reported. S. Epatha Merkerson and Oliver Platt from Chicago Med signed new deals alongside Chicago Fire’s Taylor Kinney and Miranda Rae Mayo. Meanwhile, Chicago P.D.’s Jason Beghe will also return under his existing contract.
The new agreements followed the early renewal of all three series in March. Subsequently, negotiations began shortly after Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television secured the pickups. Notably, Kinney once again closed his deal last among the four actors who required new contracts. As for Beghe, he still has time remaining on his current agreement.
All four male leads have been with their respective shows since the beginning. Specifically, Kinney will enter his 15th season on Fire, and Beghe will start his 14th on P.D. Additionally, Merkerson and Platt are heading into their 12th season on Med together.
However, Merkerson stands apart with an extraordinary tenure in the Dick Wolf universe. The Emmy winner has accumulated 29 seasons and more than 610 episodes across Law & Order and Chicago Med. Before that, she previously held the record as Law & Order’s longest-running cast member over 17 seasons.
Beyond individual milestones, the One Chicago block remains a powerhouse on Wednesday nights for NBC. In fact, a crossover event on March 4 pushed all three series to season highs in total viewers. Furthermore, social video views surged 75% compared to the previous year’s crossover event.
The franchise also delivers strong results on Peacock, where the three shows regularly appear in the streamer’s Top 10. Chicago Med leads the Wednesday lineup at 8 PM, followed by Fire at 9 PM and P.D. at 10 PM. Universal Television produces all three series in association with Wolf Entertainment.
