Popular Netflix TV Show Renewed for 6th & Final Season

Netflix has renewed one of its most successful TV shows for the sixth and final season. Alpha Males (alternatively, Machos Alfa) is a Spanish comedy series that debuted on the streaming giant on December 30, 2022, and became a big success. The show subsequently ran for four more seasons, with the most recent premiering last week.

Alpha Males has been renewed for the sixth and final season by Netflix. The streamer recently revealed that the last chapter of the hit show is currently in production.

The plot of Alpha Males revolves around four men “who set out to be the perfect example of modern masculinity and have ended up as a step‑by‑step guide” to everything that one shouldn’t do. In Season 6, the protagonists “try to reinvent themselves as new men, exemplary fathers and impeccable allies… but, once again, deconstruction proves to be a challenge they just can’t quite master.”

Contubernio Films produced Alpha Males. Its cast includes Gorka Otxoa as Santi, Fele Martínez as Luis, Fernando Gil as Pedro, Raúl Tejón as Raúl, Paula Gallego as Álex, Raquel Guerrero as Esther, María Hervás as Daniela, Kira Miró as Luz, and Karol Luna as Patricia. Alberto Caballero and Laura Caballero, who are siblings, created Alpha Males with Daniel Deorador and Araceli Álvarez de Sotomayor. The Caballero siblings also serve as directors.

Over the course of its run, Alpha Males has found some success with Netflix’s international audience, though not on the same level as another Spanish show, Money Heist. Reviewing the inaugural season, Decider’s Joel Keller wrote, “Alpha Males is just funny enough to keep us watching, especially as the men in the cast find themselves increasingly powerless with regards to how the women in their lives assert themselves.”

Alpha Males Season 6 will have 10 episodes. It doesn’t yet have a release date.
