The Wrong Girls has set its theatrical release date for August 14, 2026, alongside a newly released teaser. The official account posted, “THE WRONG GIRLS. Written and directed by Dylan Meyer. Starring Kristen Stewart and Alia Shawkat.” The announcement also stated, “Only in theaters August 14,” confirming the film’s exclusive theatrical rollout.

Meanwhile, production began in Los Angeles in February 2025, with Todd Banhazl serving as cinematographer. Neon will distribute the film in the United States, thereby confirming a wide theatrical release. Meanwhile, casting additions including Seth Rogen and LaKeith Stanfield were announced in February 2025.
