Released in U.S. theaters on December 19, 2025, the film is directed by Paul Feig and written by Rebecca Sonnenshine. It is adapted from the 2022 novel by Freida McFadden. The story centers on Millie, played by Sydney Sweeney, a struggling young woman who takes up a job as a live-in maid for wealthy couple Nina and Andrew Winchester. Seeking a fresh start from her past, she moves into their mansion.
