Backed by Mythri Movie Makers, Ranabaali has emerged as one of the most eagerly awaited Pan-India films of 2026. Headlined by Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, the film has consistently generated excitement through its ambitious scale, intriguing premise, character reveals, and music. The latest poster reveal has added another layer of intrigue to the project, particularly as it marks Arnold Vosloo’s debut in Indian cinema.
Known globally for his iconic portrayal of Imhotep in the blockbuster The Mummy franchise, Vosloo will now be seen essaying the role of Sir Theodore Hector in the Rahul Sankrityan directorial. The newly released poster presents the actor in an imposing avatar, draped in a metallic cape while surrounded by clouds of smoke. The intense visual hints at a powerful antagonist whose presence is expected to play a significant role in the narrative.
Sharing the poster on social media, the makers wrote, “THE DEMON OF DROUGHT – SIR THEODORE HECTOR From captivating audiences across the world as ‘Imhotep’ in ‘The Mummy’ to embarking on a new journey as the ruthless ‘SIR THEODORE HECTOR’ in #Ranabaali… Happy Birthday and welcome to Indian Cinema, #ArnoldVosloo -Team #Ranabaali.”
Inspired by lesser-known chapters of Indian history, Ranabaali is set against the backdrop of the colonial era and promises a blend of action, drama, and historical storytelling. Vijay Deverakonda takes centre stage as a fearless warrior, while Rashmika Mandanna portrays Jayamma, his wife. The film marks the first on-screen reunion for the popular duo, after their marriage, adding excitement among fans. Adding to it was the success of the romantic track, which released in multiple languages, has struck a chord with audiences owing to the chemistry of their favourite couple.
Directed by Rahul Sankrityan and produced by Y. Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers in association with T-Series, Ranabaali boasts a strong ensemble cast and grand production scale. With Arnold Vosloo’s powerful first look now unveiled, the buzz surrounding the film has only intensified ahead of its worldwide theatrical release on September 11, 2026.
