NBC has confirmed when fans can expect The Traitors: New Blood to land – and there isn’t too long to wait!

The all-civilian version of the Peacock competition, which will see Tip Toe star Alan Cumming return as host, is set to premiere on Thursday 17 September at 8pm ET/ PT with a two-hour episode.

The Traitors US airs on the BBC in the UK, but no release date for the New Blood season on this side of the Pond has been announced yet.

The show will follow 22 everyday Americans – selected from over 60,000 hopeful applicants – as they enter Ardross Castle in Scotland and work together on a series of missions to build a prize pot of up to $250,000.

For the uninitiated, the logline reads: “Hidden amongst the Faithful are the Traitors, whose goal is to eliminate the Faithful and claim the prize for themselves.

“Under the cover of darkness, the Traitors murder the Faithful one by one in a treacherous spree while the Faithful try to uncover the Traitors and banish them from the game.

“If at the end of the game the remaining Faithful contestants have banished all the Traitors, they share the prize fund, but if a Traitor (or Traitors) is still among them, they win all the money.”

Unlike the UK version of the series hosted by Claudia Winkleman, The Traitors US featured a mix of civilian and celebrity contestants when it premiered on Peacock in 2023.

Season 4 aired in the States earlier this year, featuring a variety of famous faces including Love Island’s Maura Higgins and Rob Rausch.

The new season recently became available to watch in the UK on BBC iPlayer.
