AMC has finally shared the teaser trailer for The Walking Dead: Dead City Season 3. The highly anticipated next installment is scheduled to premiere on Sunday, July 26, on AMC and AMC+.

“In Season 3, Maggie and Negan finally put aside their differences to build the first thriving community in Manhattan since the apocalypse, but when chaos in the city begins to arise, they are forced to question: have they learned from their old wounds or will their dark past spell doom for the entire city?,” reads the show’s newest logline.

The video highlights the special new community that Maggie has built in Manhattan, where residents have access to electricity and weapons. However, to keep this haven from failing, she wants Negan to help her find more people to protect it. The trailer also teases some of the new season’s action-filled sequences.

The spin-off is led by franchise vets Lauren Cohan as Maggie and Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan, who are also executive producing with Scott M. Gimple. The Season 3 cast also includes Logan Kim as Hershel Rhee, Gaius Charles as Perlie, Lisa Emery as the Dama, Jimmi Simpson as Dillard, Aimee Garcia as Renata, Raúl Castillo as Luis, and Keir Gilchrist as Benjamin Pierce.

The Walking Dead: Dead City is also executive-produced by showrunner Seth Hoffman, Brian Bockrath, and Colin Walsh. Since its debut in 2023, the show has maintained an average Tomatometer rating of 71% on Rotten Tomatoes.
