With just over a week left until the release of Christopher Nolan’s anticipated Greek epicThe Odysseybursts into theatres, Universal has shared a behind the scenes look at Tom Holland’s fight and sword training for the film.
Holland stars inThe Odysseyas Telemachus, Odysseus’ son who is determined to find his long lost father and protect his mother Penelope and home from the number of men who have arrived looking to wed Penelope, making themselves the rulers of Ithaca.
Holland is obviously no stranger to fight scenes after starring in several Marvel Cinematic Universe films as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, a role which he will be seen again two weeks afterThe Odyssey‘s release inSpider-Man: Brand New Day, but his previous roles have never involved swordfighting. The new featurette shows off Holland’s training and teases a fight atop a cliff in Italy as Telemachus prepares for his own journey. Watch the featurette below…
