Taylor Swift made a special appearance at the world premiere of Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 5, held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, where she performed her original song ‘I Knew It, I Knew You’ from the film’s soundtrack.

Swift joined composer Randy Newman on stage, with the two performing the song together, Newman accompanying on piano.

She also sang the franchise’s long-running theme ‘You’ve Got a Friend in Me’ during the performance.

The premiere brought together the film’s voice cast and creative team, including Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Joan Cusack, Conan O’Brien, Greta Lee, Craig Robinson, Tony Hale, Scarlett Spears, Shelby Rabara, Mykal-Michelle Harris, Lori Alan, Jay Hernandez, Bonnie Hunt, Kristen Schaal, Wallace Shawn, Krys Marshall, Jeff Bergman, Blake Clark, Anna Vocino, Matty Matheson, John Ratzenberger, and Melissa Villaseñor.

Executive producers Pete Docter and Jonas Rivera were also in attendance.

In Toy Story 5, Woody (Tom Hanks), Buzz Lightyear (Tim Allen), Jessie (Joan Cusack), and the rest of the toy ensemble face a new challenge when Lilypad (Greta Lee), a tablet device, arrives with her own ideas about what is best for their child, Bonnie.

The film is directed by Academy Award winner Andrew Stanton (WALL•E, Finding Nemo, Finding Dory) and co-directed by Kenna Harris (Ciao Alberto). The film is produced by Lindsey Collins (Turning Red, WALL•E, Finding Dory), with an original score by Academy Award winner Randy Newman, returning to score his fifth Toy Story feature. Toy Story 5 releases exclusively in cinemas in India on June 19, 2026, in English and Hindi.
