Actor Vijay Varma has completed filming for Family Business, a corporate drama series, in which he stars alongside Anil Kapoor.

According to a source, “Vijay Varma has completed shooting for Family Business alongside Anil Kapoor and has started shooting for another unannounced project. It’s a gritty, high-stakes drama between Anil and Vijay’s characters which is going to be the centre of the narrative and the most exciting one to witness between the two powerhouses.”

The series follows Jeh Davar (Anil Kapoor), a billionaire who grooms ambitious tycoon Sid Mehta (Vijay Varma) to take over India’s largest conglomerate. When Sid is abruptly fired by his mentor, he launches a counter-offensive to reclaim power. Director Hansal Mehta has described the show as an original story built around contrasting ideologies, dismissing comparisons to international as “lazy.”

The ensemble cast includes Rhea Chakraborty, Neha Dhupia, Tina Desai, Raima Sen, Dhruv Sehgal, Akash Khurana, Anant Nag, and Kanwaljit Singh. The series was co-created by Hansal Mehta and Niren Bhatt, with the script written by Niren Bhatt, Ankur Pathak, and Nikhil Nair.

Having wrapped Family Business, Varma has moved on to an unannounced project. His broader slate includes the action thriller Antony, the Netflix anthology Lust Stories 3, and Matka King 2, the second season of his period crime drama on Amazon Prime Video, in which he plays 1960s gambling kingpin Brij Bhatti.

Family Business is directed by Hansal Mehta and produced by Vikram Malhotra, is officially confirmed to stream on Netflix in 2026.
