Mexico face off against Czech Republic in their final group game on Thursday morning with the World Cup co-hosts confirmed as winners of Group A.

Javier Aguirre’s side have won both of their group games against South Africa and South Korea, with the matches finishing 2-0 and 1-0 respectively.
Mexico failed to get out of the group at the 2022 World Cup but they’d reached the round of 16 in seven straight editions of the competition prior to that.
Mexico, who could rest players for their final group clash with them having one eye on the knockout stages, will face a third-placed team from Group C, E, F, H, or I in the round of 32.
Czech Republic, who lost their opener 2-1 against South Korea before drawing 1-1 with South Africa, simply must win against Mexico to have any chance of getting out of the group stages for the first time since Italia ’90.
