France face off against Norway in their final Group I clash on Friday night, with Didier Deschamps’ side knowing a draw will see them top the group.

The two-time winners have won both of their group games so far, beating Senegal 3-1 in their opener before their 3-0 victory against Iraq last time out.
Kylian Mbappé and co, who won the 2018 World Cup and finished as runners-up in 2022, are level on points with Norway after two games but a draw will be enough for them to top Group I – and meet a third-placed team from Group C, D, F, G or H in the round of 32 – given their superior goal difference.
Norway, who are looking to better their best finish of reaching the round of 16, also sit on six points heading into Friday’s showdown but only a win will be good enough for Ståle Solbakken’s side to top the group.
The Nordic side hammered Iraq 4-1 in their opening fixture before their 3-2 win against Senegal earlier this week. If they finish second in Group I, they will play the Group E runners-up in the round of 32 which will be either Ivory Coast, Ecuador or Curaçao.
