Adult Swim has unveiled a first-look trailer for its new series, President Curtis.
The show, which is a Rick and Morty spin-off, will follow the long-time leader of the United States (voiced by Keith David), who Rick and Morty have crossed paths with on a number of their misadventures on the original series, as he navigates various crises.
The new trailer gives fans a first glimpse at these adventures, which range from interdimensional diplomacy to paranormal investigations and other weird phenomena.

Alongside David, Stephanie Beatriz (Twisted Metal) and Jim Rash (Community) round out the voice cast as the President’s assistants.
The series was announced during the Rick and Morty panel at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, with David saying at the time: “President Curtis has always been a blast to play.”

He added in a press release: “Getting to explore his world more deeply in this new series is a dream.
“I can’t wait for fans to see what kind of chaos he stirs up when Rick isn’t around to steal the spotlight.”

Co-creators Dan Harmon and James Siciliano of Rick and Morty added in a statement that the new series focuses on “one of our favourite characters”.
They continued: “He’s the only person in the multiverse who can go toe-to-toe with Rick and still hold office. Now we finally get to go on sci-fi missions from Curtis’ point of view.
“And with Keith David leading the charge, it’s going to be a wild ride.”
Rick & Morty seasons 1-7 are available on Netflix. Season 8 is currently airing on Channel 4.
