World Cup 2026 is here and the opening few games certainly have not disappointed.

We’ve seen thrashings, upsets, narrow victories, red cards, late winners and hard-fought draws – and it’s barely got started.
Following the expansion from 32 teams, this World Cup will be the biggest ever – and all 104 matches are set to be broadcast on free-to-air TV for UK viewers.
54 matches will be broadcast live on BBC TV and online via BBC iPlayer, while there will be live radio coverage of 92 of the games and updates from all of them.
The start of World Cup 2026 (Thursday 11 June) is fast approaching and we now know the broadcaster’s full line-up that will be taking UK viewers through the tournament – from the studio in Salford and the stadiums themselves.
Radio Times brings you the full round-up of World Cup 2026 presenters, pundits and commentators on BBC.
