“Making people disappear does not solve the problem.” Doesn’t it make a difference? Paramount Pictures has revealed the first official trailer for a movie called By Any Means, a gritty crime thriller set back in the 1960s telling a true story. It’s the latest feature from acclaimed filmmaker Elegance Bratton, of the films Buck, The Inspection, and the doc Move Ya Body: The Birth of House. This is set for a US release in theaters nationwide starting in September at the end of the summer. “When the system is broken, break the rules by any means.” A notorious mafia hitman and a young Black FBI agent team up to investigate the murders of civil rights leaders in 1966 Mississippi. When the system is broken, two men divided by everything agree on one thing: the law has limits. They don’t. What an opener! I’m ready to watch this now! Starring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as the FBI agent & Mark Wahlberg as the mafioso, along with Nicole Beharie, Josh Lucas, LisaGay Hamilton, LaChanze, Ethan Embry, David Strathairn and Giancarlo Esposito. Damn this looks legit badass! Taking out all the racist scum the best way they know how. I’m down for this.
