Following the 2019 debut of Between Two Ferns: The Movie, Netflix has finally added its latest collaboration with The Hangover star Zach Galifianakis to its expanding TV library. Beginning today, the Emmy-winning actor’s This Is a Gardening Show is officially available to stream on Netflix, just in time for Earth Day.

What do we know about Zach Galifianakis’s This Is a Gardening Show?
In This Is a Gardening Show, Galifianakis will serve as the host, exploring the world of gardening. He’ll meet lots of curious kids and eccentric experts, who’ll help him learn more about the titular subject. The show is being described as a refreshing and whimsical take on gardening. This marks The Hangover star’s first TV show as the lead in a long while, after his recurring role in Only Murders in the Building Season 4.
“Rather than positioning himself as an expert, Galifianakis approaches the subject with curiosity and self-effacing humor, with the goal of learning alongside his audience and giving viewers valuable, accessible, and educational tools to use in their own gardens,” reads the official logline. “The series blends lighthearted comedy with a sincere appreciation for people and the planet, and is ultimately about the joy of connecting with the earth.”
This Is a Gardening Show was directed by Brook Linder, with Chris Kim serving as a producer. In addition to leading the show, Galifianakis was also an executive producer alongside Frank Schema and Jon Kamen. The six-episode docuseries was a production by RadicalMedia in association with Billios Productions.
Besides the new Netflix show, Galifianakis is also currently starring in AMC+’s new drama series The Audacity, where he’s playing the recurring role of Carl Bardolph. Ahead of its Season 1 finale next month, the show has already scored a renewal from AMC.
