A place in motorsport immortality will be on the line as drivers start their engines for the 94th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Winning the iconic endurance race at Circuit de la Sarthe earns the racers and their team a place in the history books, such is its status in motorsport.
To capture the crown, the teams of three drivers must cover the most distance across a 24-hour period. It’s a test of not just driving but concentration, guts, mental and physical fortitude, and much more.
That’s not to say that motorsport’s equivalent of an ultra marathon won’t be one for the speed freaks. The 62 cars –18 Hypercars, 19 LMP2, and 25 LMGT3 – flying around the Circuit de la Sarthe will clock well over 200mph.
UK viewers can tune in to see if Ferrari can secure a fourth consecutive victory, with extensive coverage throughout Saturday and Sunday’s race.
