Actor Bobby Deol is set to headline Bandar, directed by Anurag Kashyap. The film, produced by Nikhil Dwivedi and backed by Zee Studios, is currently generating interest for its cast and creative team.

Speaking about his role in the film, Bobby Deol said the project required him to move beyond familiar territory. “Every actor wants to do something because an image is set, and it gets very difficult to get out of it, and we get typecast. I also went through it, but now I must say doing this film was totally out of my comfort zone. I kept my shyness aside and did this film shamelessly,” he shared.

The actor, who has delivered several notable performances in recent years, takes on the lead role in what is described as an intense drama. The film is written by Sudip Sharma and Abhishek Banerjee, both known for their work on projects such as Paatal Lok, Kohrra and Udta Punjab. Sudip Sharma also recently directed the second season of Kohrra, which received critical attention.

Bandar features an ensemble cast that includes Sanya Malhotra, Raj B Shetty, Jitendra Joshi, Sapna Pabbi, Indrajith Sukumaran, Riddhi Sen, Saba Azad and Nagesh Bhosle in key roles. With Anurag Kashyap at the helm and a diverse cast on board, the film is positioned as a notable theatrical release in the coming year. While further details about the storyline remain under wraps, Bandar is expected to explore a different space for Bobby Deol as an actor.
