Rashmika Mandanna continues her dream run at the box office. The actress, who has emerged as one of the most bankable stars across Indian cinema in recent years, has added another notable success to her filmography with Cocktail 2. Co-starring Shahid Kapoor and Kriti Sanon, the romantic entertainer opened to a solid Rs. 13.10 crore on its first day, making it Rashmika Mandanna’s sixth-highest opening day grosser of all time.

The achievement is particularly noteworthy given the actress’s remarkable run over the last few years. Rashmika’s biggest opener remains Pushpa 2: The Rule, which stormed the box office with a massive Rs. 72 crore opening day collection. This was followed by Animal, which debuted at Rs. 63.80 crore, cementing her position as one of the most sought-after actresses in the country.
Earlier in 2025, Rashmika tasted success with Chhaava, which opened at Rs. 33.10 crore, while Sikandar started its journey with Rs. 27.50 crore. Her horror-comedy Thamma also delivered a strong first-day number of Rs. 23.11 crore. While Cocktail 2 does not match those blockbuster-level openings, its Rs. 13.10 crore start is enough to secure a place among the biggest openers of her career.
The latest release has comfortably outperformed several other films featuring the actress. Compared to Pushpa: The Rise – Part 1, which opened at Rs. 3.33 crore, Cocktail 2 has earned Rs. 9.77 crore more, nearly four times the opening-day collection of the 2021 blockbuster’s first installment. Against Goodbye, which collected Rs. 0.93 crore on Day 1, Cocktail 2 has performed significantly better, earning over fourteen times as much.
The gap becomes even more pronounced when compared to Varisu, which registered an opening day collection of Rs. 0.80 crore in Hindi markets. Cocktail 2 has surpassed that figure by Rs. 12.30 crore. Likewise, it has comfortably raced ahead of Kuberaa, which opened at Rs. 0.20 crore, collecting almost sixty-five times more on its first day.
For Rashmika, the success of Cocktail 2 is another reminder of her growing appeal among Hindi cinema audiences. Over the last few years, she has successfully transitioned from being a South Indian star to becoming a pan-India phenomenon. Films such as Animal, Pushpa 2: The Rule, Chhaava and now Cocktail 2 have showcased her ability to attract audiences across genres and markets.
Industry experts believe the opening has been driven by a combination of factors, including the popularity of the Cocktail franchise, the chemistry between Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Rashmika Mandanna, and strong awareness generated through music and promotions. The film‘s healthy opening also indicates that audiences continue to respond to well-marketed romantic entertainers despite an increasingly competitive theatrical landscape.
As the weekend progresses, all eyes will be on whether Cocktail 2 can build on its strong start and emerge as another major success for Rashmika Mandanna. For now, the actress can celebrate yet another milestone as the film becomes the sixth-biggest opener of her career, further strengthening her impressive box-office track record.
