The Season 2 finale of Daredevil: Born Again left several characters at a crossroads, but one cliffhanger has now been resolved. Wilson Bethel, who plays Benjamin Poindexter aka Bullseye, has spoken about his possible return in the already-filming Season 3.

Bullseye’s Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 role just got confirmed
Speaking to TV Insider, Bethel addressed Bullseye’s return to Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 head-on. “I can confirm that I’m in Season 3,” the actor stated. “So, that’s great. I would obviously love to be used in some additional Marvel projects down the road, or my own Marvel project; that’s a dream. I have my fingers crossed for that, and the fan response to the character, hopefully, will warrant that,” he added.

The confirmation comes after the finale episode showed Bullseye leaving New York on a plane alongside CIA operative Mr. Charles. The scene revealed Poindexter as a direct replacement for Luke Cage. He got released from service to reunite with Jessica Jones and their daughter. What appeared to be a farewell, however, now reads as a deliberate arc setup of the character ahead of his return.
Bethel elaborated on where the Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 finale leaves Bullseye. “It’s a really exciting point of departure for the next stage of things because where he ends up is essentially with a clean slate. He doesn’t owe anything to anyone, and he is a phenomenally talented killer who is now working for the CIA or some kind of Black Ops situation, which frees him up in all kinds of ways.”
This is a huge evolution for Poindexter’s life, as he was previously defined by his psychological dependence on Wilson Fisk. Now, Bullseye operates without a handler pulling his strings. “In some ways, it feels like it potentially is setting him up to be a version of Bullseye that I think a lot of people will recognize from the comics,” Bethel said.
Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 finale is currently streaming on Disney+.
