“A man. A plan. A meltdown.” Yeehaw! Warner Bros has debuted the second official trailer for Digger, but it’s not really a real trailer–it’s a Tom Cruise riff! This Tom Cruise Retrospective Trailer has been playing in theaters already, ending with a couple of extra shots from Digger. It’s a glorious 2-min look back at the exceptional & unforgettable career of the iconic superstar actor Tom Cruise. His highly anticipated, very expensive new project is known as Digger – because Tom Cruise stars as a man named Digger Rockwell. Who is he? Well, we’re still not sure. The plot is still one big secret. The only other synopsis adds: The most powerful man in the world embarks on a frantic mission to prove he is humanity’s savior before the disaster he’s unleashed destroys everything. This is going to be wild! The full cast also features: Jesse Plemons, Sandra Hüller, Riz Ahmed, Sophie Wilde, Emma D’Arcy, Robert John Burke, Burn Gorman, Michael Stuhlbarg, John Goodman. With cinematography by maestro Emmanuel Lubezki reuniting with Innaritu again after Birdman & The Revenant. There was another short teaser out late last year which was a crazy funky intro. This new promo today also confirms that the first real trailer with actual footage drops in July – and will be showing in front of The Odyssey in theaters this summer. Who’s ready for more?

Introducing… Digger Rockwell. A comedy of catastrophic proportions. Digger, also initially rumored to be known as Judy, is directed by acclaimed, Oscar-winning Mexican filmmaker Alejandro G. Iñárritu, director of Amores Perros, 21 Grams, Babel, Biutiful, Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance), The Revenant, and Bardo: False Chronicle of a Handful of Truths previously. The screenplay is written by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, and Alexander Dinelaris & Nicolás Giacobone, and Sabina Berman. Produced by Tom Cruise and Alejandro G. Iñárritu. This filmed for 6 months in the UK throughout late 2024 and into 2025. The film was shot on 35mm film using VistaVision – with Emmanuel Lubezki as DOP. Warner Bros will release Inarritu’s Digger in theaters worldwide starting October 2nd, 2026 coming up this fall. Everyone getting excited for this?
