The Indian audience was recently pleased to know that veteran actor Jaaved Jaaferi will voice Skeletor and Meezaan will voice He-Man in the Hindi version of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, releasing in India on June 5, 2026.

Jaaved Jaaferi and Meezaan reveal bonding over He-Man and The Masters of the Universe: “It honestly feels like life has come full circle”

The father-son pairing in the Hindi dub reflects their shared connection to the franchise. Jaaved Jaaferi spoke about stepping into the role. “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe was a huge part of pop culture in the early 90s. I remember my kids and I would sit down to watch the cartoon on TV when they were little. Skeletor was always such an iconic villain: wicked, dramatic, and unforgettable. After all these years, getting the opportunity to lend my voice to Skeletor feels so nostalgic and surreal. It honestly feels like life has come full circle. From enjoying those moments as a father watching the show with my children, to now becoming a part of that universe myself, this is an extremely special collaboration for me,” he said.

Meezaan added, “Voicing He-Man for the Hindi version of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe truly feels like an incredible journey down memory lane. He-Man was such a huge part of my childhood growing up. I still remember sitting beside my father, completely glued to the television, getting transported into the world of Eternia. So, to now become the voice of He-Man himself feels unreal and incredibly special. What makes this even more emotional for me is that my father is right here with me on this journey too, just like old times.”

Directed by Travis Knight and produced by Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films, He-Man and the Masters of the Universe stars Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam/He-Man, Camila Mendes as Teela, Jared Leto as Skeletor, and Idris Elba as Duncan/Man-At-Arms. The cast also includes Alison Brie, Morena Baccarin, James Purefoy, Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson, and Kristen Wiig, who voices Roboto.

Sony Pictures Releasing International brings He-Man and the Masters of the Universe to Indian theatres on June 5, 2026, in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
