Despite facing calls for his firing from Donald Trump and the first lady over his White House Correspondents’ Dinner jokes, Jimmy Kimmel fired off another jab at the president this week. This time, Kimmel compared Trump to a “fat John Wick” after the commander-in-chief posted a photo of himself holding a rifle.

During a recent episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live, the host addressed Donald Trump’s latest Truth Social post. The photo in question showed the president wielding a gun with explosions blazing behind him, accompanied by the caption, “Iran can’t get their act together. They don’t know how to sign a non-nuclear deal. They better get smart and soon.” It also featured the tagline “NO MORE MR.NICE GUY.”
Kimmel took this as an opening and reminded viewers about the administration’s earlier statement on not negotiating through the media. He had even made a joke that the administration negotiates “exclusively through Truth Social posts from the president’s toilet in the middle of the night.” However, soon after, Donald Trump had posted the photo at 4.05 a.m.
The late show host questioned whether the post would intimidate Iranian officials. “Best case scenario, they go, ‘You know what? The old man’s lost his marbles. He can’t sleep. He’s cosplaying as fat John Wick,” Jimmy Kimmel said. He added that Iranian leaders might instead think to “call his kids to make sure he’s okay.”
The comedian continued, “Does he really think that this image will strike fear into the hearts of those hardcore religious zealots running around after two months of being bombed? They’re going to open their laptops. They’re going to look, and they’re going to go, ‘Oh, Mushtaba, get in here. This time, he means business.’”Kimmel then quipped that Trump “looks like Rambo and Dumbo at the same time.”
Finally ending by saying that the president “waited three whole days” after the correspondents’ dinner before posting a picture of himself holding an assault rifle, calling it “a lot of restraint.”
