Soap stars and others honor Patrick Muldoon after death

Muldoon’s Days of Our Lives costar Bryan Dattilo opened up about their bond with Soap Opera Digest. “I don’t think he ever called me Bryan in the whole time we worked together. He always called me Lucas,” Dattilo revealed.

He mentioned how Muldoon kept addressing him as Lucas and said he would be playing the character when he is 50. Dattilo shared how he felt after hearing about his co-star’s death, “It was like getting hit in the gut. It’s a really tough one. 57 years was not enough for Pat Muldoon.”

Bold and Beautiful alum Denise Rechards also got emotional in her post, “I am deeply heartbroken and devastated losing you. You were my best friend and my family.” Another DOOL costar Alison Sweeney wrote on her X, “This is such heartbreaking news. Muldoon’s ex- girlfriend Tori Spelling, gave tribute to the late Patrick Muldoon on social media. She wrote on her Instagram, “This post took me a couple days. I wasn’t ready to write because then it felt real. And, this shouldn’t be real. @thepatrickmuldoon and I met on a blind date. Which thankfully wasn’t a blind date at all because we were both on a tv series.”

The 52-year-old continued that what she “fell in love w/ was not just a beautiful on the outside creature but the most beautiful soul.” Spellling described him as the kindest human with a “raddest weird sense of humor.” The Beverly Hills, 90210 star concluded, “I’m sorry to his family and the world for a beautiful light put out too soon.
