Netflix is reportedly considering live channels and new streaming bundles to keep viewers engaged.
The proposals come amid concerns that subscriber engagement is showing signs of decline, which has been a frequent discussion topic in company meetings, according to the WSJ.
A source told the publication that Netflix executives have suggested adding live channels to the streaming service that would see specific shows and movies being streamed continuously.
The source added that the company is also considering selling bundles that would include other streaming services. This is a service that competitors such as Prime Video and Apple TV already offer.

While the company remains the leader in subscription streaming, it has faced challenges in recent years.
Netflix shares are down more than 40 per cent over the last 12 months, while the company’s TV viewership share dropped to 7.8 per cent in April, according to the WSJ, which cites Nielsen data.

Netflix has already made multiple attempts to expand its offerings in recent years, with the company introducing an ad-supported tier in 2022.
The streamer has also recently introduced live programming, including NFL games and WWE events, and even expanded into video podcasts and creator led-content.
