ComingSoon is debuting an exclusive trailer and poster for Elijah Peel, eKKL Entertainment’s upcoming rock ‘n’ roll drama inspired by a true story. The movie is scheduled to arrive in theaters on August 14, 2026.

“The film follows a stadium-filling rock star whose life of fame and addiction comes to a sudden halt after a heart attack nearly costs him everything,” reads the official synopsis. “During his recovery, Elijah encounters a remarkable young girl whose unwavering faith, radiant spirit, and wisdom beyond her years begin to break through the walls he has built around his heart. Through their unexpected bond, her extraordinary hope inspires Elijah to begin a powerful journey toward healing, reconciliation, and faith.”

What happens in the Elijah Peel trailer?
The video introduces Robert Malcolm Cumming (Hell’s Haven) as the titular famous rockstar, who finds an unexpected connection with a terminally ill young girl named Jessica. Through their genuine friendship, he gets inspired to become a better performer by writing songs about hope. The trailer highlights how meeting Jessica will affect his personal life and music career.
Elijah Peel is directed by Kevin D. Sepe and Nathan Ross Murphy, with Sepe also writing the screenplay. The film also stars Evelyn Grace Kite, Kevin Sorbo, April Billingsley, Princess Elmore, Mark McClain Wilson, Kalyn Wood, Anika Buchanan, Teresa Cesario, Jason Louder, and more. It is executive-produced by Willie Robertson and Korie Robertson. In addition to directing the movie, Sepe is also producing the film and its original soundtrack.
