Savannah Guthrie says she’ll ‘never stop looking’ for missing mother
Savannah Guthrie took to her Instagram to express her love for her missing mother on Mother’s Day. The news anchor shared a compilation of the 84-year-old’s pictures and videos. She also wrote in the caption, “mother, daughter, sister, Nonie – we miss you with every breath. We will never stop looking for you.”
Guthrie further added, “We will never be at peace until we find you.”Moreover, she requested help from people. She said, “We need help. Someone knows something that can make the difference. Call 1800CALLFBI.”
The 54-year-old concluded, “You can be anonymous and the reward remains available. Please keep praying. Bring her home.” In March, Guthrie opened up on the missing case with TODAY. She shared how she was taken aback after learning that her mother had disappeared from her home.
“And my sister called me. I said, ‘Is everything OK?’ And she said, ‘No.’ She said, ‘Mom’s missing,” Guthrie recalled. “And I said, ‘What? What are you talking about?’ She said, ‘She’s gone.’ And she was in a panic. I was in a panic,” she continued.
Guthrie also shared how her mom “was in tremendous pain” and dealt with a bad back. “On a good day, she could walk down to the mailbox and get the mail, but most days not. So there wasn’t a wander off,” the broadcaster added.
She further explained that “the doors were propped open, and there was blood on the front doorstep.” Guthrie continued, “And the Ring camera had been yanked off. And so we were saying, ‘This this is not OK. Something is very wrong here.’” While the investigation is on, Guthrie believes her mother might have been “kidnapped for ransom.”
