Stranger Things star Gaten Matarazzo has been confirmed to be guest-starring in season 2 of US sitcom Adults.

The series, which follows a group of five twenty-somethings living together as they navigate the complicated world of life and love in New York City, was critically acclaimed upon its launch last year.
With season 2 now on the horizon, FX has announced who else will be dropping into the core friendship group’s lives for guest appearances.
While it’s not confirmed who he will be playing, Matarazzo – best known for playing Dustin in Stranger Things – is among those on the list.

Other guest stars include Girls’s Zosia Mamet, Raven-Symoné, podcaster Jake Shane, Curb Your Enthusiasm’s Susie Essman, Broadway star Isaac Powell, and Saturday Night Live’s Ben Marshall.
Season 2 has been confirmed to launch on 27 August, with all eight-episodes dropping at once on Disney+ in the UK.
The synopsis of season 2 teases more trouble for the key characters, Samir (Malik Elassal), Billie (Lucy Freyer), Paul (Jack Innanen), Issa (Amita Rao) and Anton (Owen Thiele).
All living in Samir’s childhood home, the group find themselves tackling a new set of problems – but always try to get through them together.

This season, the team face their age when a 20-year-old inherits one of their old fake IDs, another grapples with the fact they actually kind of love your boring office job, while others question how family members have a unique ability to bring out the worst in you.
“They invent elaborate workarounds for problems they’re too afraid to face head-on,” the synopsis reads.
“It’s not so much that they keep learning the same lessons – it’s that they keep finding new ways to make mistakes. But the one thing they consistently get right: showing up for each other.”
Adults is available to watch on Disney+ in the UK. Sign-up to Disney+ from £5.99 a month.
