Hossam Hassan’s side are expected to finish in the top two alongside Belgium to confirm their spot in the knockout stages for the second time in their history.
New Zealand blew two leads against Iran in their group opener to see it finish 2-2. Elijah Just netted a brace but it was Mohammad Mohebi’s second-half goal that saw the points shared.
The Kiwis, who are still searching for their first ever World Cup win, are the outsiders in Group G and they’re the favourites to finish bottom.
