Manchester United continue their pre-season campaign on Friday as Michael Carrick’s men face Norwegian side Rosenborg.
The Red Devils, who finished third in the Premier League last season to bring Champions League football back to Old Trafford, are playing their second friendly after losing 1-0 against Wrexham in Helsinki last week.
Carrick was rewarded for a brilliant spell from January until the end of the last campaign with the United hierarchy handing their former midfielder a two-year contract.
United, who will be hoping to close the gap on Arsenal and Manchester City this season, have backed Carrick in the transfer market too, with the Red Devils signing Andrey Santos, Youri Tielemans and Karl Darlow for a combined fee of around £85m.
Rosenborg, who beat United when they faced off in pre-season in 2024, are in the middle of their Eliteserien campaign and they’ll return to league action just three days after their friendly against the Red Devils.
