Group D winners USA head to Los Angeles to face World Cup flops Turkey in their last match before the knockout stage.
The Stars and Stripes have enjoyed a dream start to the home tournament after winning their opening two World Cup matches for the first time.
Mauricio Pochettino’s team ran out 4-1 winners against Paraguay in their first outing before a dominant 2-0 victory over Australia last week to progress to the round of 32.
The fact that the United States have already sealed the deal in Group D means Pochettino could shuffle his pack and give a breather to the likes of Folarin Balogun, Tyler Adams, Chris Richards and Antonee Robinson, who are all at risk of a one-match ban if they earn another yellow card in the group stage. Christian Pulisic might also not be risked after missing the last game through injury.
Turkey were branded dark horses by some pundits and fans in the build-up to the World Cup, but they have already booked their ticket home after surprise defeats to Australia and 10-man Paraguay.
