Did Gary Windass (Mikey North) kill Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) in Coronation Street?

Well, it certainly seems that way, after a particularly telling flashback in today’s episode.
Theo’s body was found by Betsy Swain (Sydney Martin) in the backyard of the corner shop at the conclusion of an epic ‘Murder Week’, bringing an end to months of speculation following a February flash-forward episode.
However, as one murder mystery ended, a new one began – who has blood on their hands? A number of residents have already faced intense questioning from Weatherfield’s policing team, but so far, only Summer Spellman (Harriet Bibby) has been charged.
She’s spent a hellish two weeks behind bars, adamant that she wasn’t responsible. Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) eventually spoke up and revealed that he saw Theo alive after Summer left his flat, sealing her release.

Meanwhile, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) still has his eye on Gary – convinced that there’s something fishy going on with his story.
Although wife Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) supported his alibi, saying that they were together on the night that Theo died, she now has doubts about his whereabouts and closeness to ex-partner Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien).
Her suspicions grew today as she discovered he’d spent the morning in Sarah’s company once again. Gary was fixing a set of drawers in the Underworld office, and Sean Tully (Antony Cotton) clocked Sarah pulling the blind down for privacy.
In the Rovers, Tyrone approached the bar and assumed the conversation from the other punters was concerning who killed Theo. He chirped in to say that he didn’t think it was Summer, only for the men to clarify that they were actually talking about the World Cup.
The mention of Theo’s demise unnerved Gary, and with Kit just metres away, he had to stay calm.

When Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) burst in and tore strips off Tyrone for taking so long to help Summer, Kit noticed how uncomfortable Gary seemed to be. He made it clear that he’d marked his card, and that he was watching him intently.
As the episode came to an end, we were taken back to the scene of the crime. Gary stood on the scaffolding above Theo’s body, wiping blood off a metal pole.
Is he the killer, and does Sarah know what he’s done?
