Grass court season is here! Queen’s Club Championships bursts into life on Monday with the start of a fortnight of thrilling tennis.
The West London event has an established spot as a step on the path to Wimbledon and expanded to include a women’s tournament for the first time in more than 50 years in 2025.
Surprise winner Tatjana Maria is not back to defend her crown but World No 2 Elena Rybakina leads a competitive field, which includes Amanda Anisimova and Victoria Mboko
Katie Boulter and Fran Jones are among the British women in singles action on Monday, while Emma Raducanu starts her challenge tomorrow.
Serena Williams’s return to the court at the age of 44 has dominated headlines in the build-up to the tournament. The American tennis legend will partner Canadian teenager Victoria Mboko in the doubles – and is in action for the first time tomorrow.
The men have to wait until next Monday for their turn at the West Kensington venue. Jack Draper is expected to make his return from injury at the ATP 500 tournament, alongside British No 1 Cam Norrie and top seed Alex de Minaur.
