This first premiered in 2023 at Beyond Fest and has been waiting to get a proper release ever since. With the release of Spielberg’s UFO movie Disclosure Day also this weekend, no better time than now to unveil it to the public. Do you believe? Was she really an alien? “Love is the greatest power in the universe.” Welcome Space Brothers is the true story of the Unarius Academy of Science, an UFO-channeling spiritual school 🛸 founded in Southern California that originally in the 1970s and 80s became a wildly prolific filmmaking collective & public access TV phenomenon under the direction of their outlandish spiritual leader Ruth E. Norman, aka the “Archangel Uriel.” Landing in time for the theatrical premiere at the Alex Theater in Glendale this weekend! Featuring Moby and the Unarius choir performing live onstage and celebrate the launch of our theatrical roadshow across America this summer. Welcome Space Brothers is the unbelievable yet entirely true story of the Unarius Academy of Science, an extraterrestrial-channeling spiritual school and self-healing community first founded in Glendale, CA, before relocating to El Cajon in the 1970s. Under the outlandish direction of its charismatic leader, Ruth E. Norman — known to followers as “Archangel Uriel” — Unarius evolved from a fringe spiritual movement into a wildly prolific public-access TV phenomenon of the 1980s. Director Jodi Wille brings this singularly American story to the screen with the same wide-eyed fascination its subject demands. Welcome Space Brothers is a doc film directed by American indie filmmaker Jodi Wille, director of the film The Source Family previously, and other short films. Produced by Caryn Capotosto (Won’t You Be My Neighbor?, Little Richard: I Am Everything). This initially premiered at Beyond Fest 2023 a few years back.
