Austria get their Group J campaign underway at this summer’s World Cup with Ralf Rangnick’s side facing off against Jordan in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Austria topped their qualifying group ahead of Bosnia and Herzegovina after winning six of their eight outings. They also scored 22 times and only conceded four goals in the process.
Austria are appearing at their first World Cup since 1998, where they failed to get out of the group. Rangnick’s men will fancy their chances of qualifying out of Group J as they will likely be batting with Algeria for second behind potential group-toppers Argentina.

While the European side should get to the round of 32 at a minimum, Jordan are expected to finish bottom of the group.
Jordan, who finished second in their qualifying group behind South Korea, are making their World Cup debut and they’ve already overachieved by reaching the tournament this summer.
