Randeep Hooda returns as real-life encounter specialist Inspector Avinash Mishra in the latest season of the series Inspector Avinash, and the portrayal has drawn attention for its accuracy to the real officer. For the role, Hooda studied Inspector Avinash closely, observing his body language, accent, walking style, and approach to handling cases. The physical transformation extended to the officer’s signature moustache, hairstyle, and the bearing he carried during his younger days in the force.

Inspector Avinash spoke about finding his life on screen. “Randeep Hooda didn’t just play my role, he understood my personality, my duty, and the emotions behind the uniform. The way he observed my body language, the way I speak, walk, and react in difficult situations was remarkable,” he said.

He added, “He paid attention to the smallest details, from my appearance and moustache to my working style and mindset as a police officer. Very few actors put in that level of effort. Watching him on screen felt like revisiting my younger days.”

On the audience response, the officer said, “People connected with the character because Randeep brought sincerity and truthfulness to the role. He gave complete justice to my journey, and for that I will always respect his hard work and commitment.”

Inspector Avinash is based on the life of a real encounter specialist from Uttar Pradesh. Randeep Hooda previously drew attention for his physical and character transformations in Sarbjit and Swatantrya Veer Savarkar. The latest season is currently streaming.
