Maternal Instinct has risen to the number one spot on Netflix‘s top 10, as it traces the shocking acts of Taylor Parker.

On the surface, Taylor looked like an expectant mother, but it soon unravelled that it was all a lie. Taylor was unable to have children after a hysterectomy, something she didn’t tell her boyfriend.
She began wearing a fake pregnancy stomach, bought baby clothes and even convinced her friend to host a gender reveal party.
Court evidence went on to reveal Taylor’s online search history for “order cheap pregnancy silicone belly”, “newborn adoptions”, “how to find a birth mother” and “video of c-section”.
When confronted by her boyfriend, Taylor went on to commit a heinous crime.
Read on for more of the story about Taylor Parker and her whereabouts today.
What did Taylor Parker do?

In 2019, 21-year-old Reagan Simmons-Hancock hired Taylor Parker as her wedding photographer and the women hit it off.
The pair remained friends even after the wedding and in 2020, Reagan became pregnant with her second child. Taylor said she was pregnant too.
Shortly before Reagan was due to give birth, she spent time with Taylor who told her she was going to be induced the next day.
That following day, Taylor killed Reagan and removed her unborn baby from her womb. Raegan had suffered 15 stab wounds and 98 incised wounds.
Taylor attempted to pass the baby off as her own before she called the police from her car when the baby wasn’t breathing. When the police arrived, Taylor was found performing CPR on the newborn baby.
She told the police she had just given birth and even inserted the baby’s umbilical cord into her trousers.
Doctors determined that Taylor had not given birth and she was arrested at the hospital and charged with murder.
Where is Taylor Parker now?
Taylor Parker was convicted of murder in 2022 and was sentenced to death.
She is currently imprisoned and awaiting execution at Patrick L. O’Daniel Unit in Texas. She is currently the youngest woman on death row in Texas.
“I told myself, ‘You didn’t do what they said. It’s lies,'” Parker told The New Yorker in 2025. “My realisation came when I had to face the autopsy photos.”
She added: “It’s the hardest thing to admit, but I do not believe in going home for myself. My place is here. I stand firm on the belief you do not deserve to have something you took from another. That’s part of the acknowledgment and acceptance process on the road to redemption.”
